National Theatre of Scotland’s ‘Orphans’ Scottish Tour Begins

National Theatre of Scotland’s brand-new musical ‘Orphans’ has kicked off its tour of Scotland. ‘Orphans’ is a darkly comic musical about family, grief and forgiveness. Don’t miss this stage adaption of the multi award-winning cult film by Peter Mullan (Westworld, Ozark, NEDS, The Magdalene Sisters, My Name is Joe), directed by Scottish theatre legend Cora Bissett (Adam, Glasgow Girls, What Girls Are Made Of) and ingeniously adapted by Douglas Maxwell (Yer Granny, The Whip Hand, Decky Does a Bronco). With raucous and heartfelt music and lyrics by Emmy award-winning, Scottish composing team Roddy Hart and Tommy Reilly (Anna And The Apocalypse, Steven Spielberg’s Animaniacs, Our Ladies).

The tour features Robert Florence (Burnistoun) making his musical theatre debut as Thomas, Amy Conachan (Hollyoaks) as Sheila, Reuben Joseph (Rapunzel) as Michael, Dylan Wood as John, Harry Ward (What Girls Are Made Of) as Tanga, Chloe Hodgson as Bernadette, Amber Sylvia Edwards (Dirty Dancing) as Carole, Louise McCarthy (My Left Right Foot) as Mrs Hanson, John McLarnon (Local Hero) as Jacko, Patricia Panther (Glasgow Girls) as Sara, Paul McCole (Still Game) as Frank, Martin Quinn (Let The Right One In) as Seamus and Betty Valencia (The Last Bus) as Ann-Marie.
