‘Continental Comedy’ (Kilderkin) | Review By Marcus Lundie

Another comedy compilation show that’s part of this years’ PBH Free Fringe, ‘Continental Comedy’ features comedy stand up acts based all across the world that have come right here to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The show is emceed by the absolutely snort-cackle worthy Sharon Em, she is a wonderfully talented comedian who truly knows what she is doing.

Sharon is definitely a comedic powerhouse in the making, she is an expert in crowd control- in my performance there was a rather rudely interrupting audience member. She handled him like the pro she is, politely and hilariously, with that being said that props truly have to be given to the other comedians that also remained completely cool and collected. As an audience member I felt completely at ease, I never felt any forced laughter or smiles it was all just completely natural. I thoroughly enjoyed the other acts of the show as well, each one was unique and magnificently talented individuals.

The show as a whole is well organised with an obviously seasoned show woman at the helm, the acts are precisely picked with a diverse cast of funny people that hold wonderfully individual views and humour. As far as variety this comedy compilation show has it in spades, I 100% recommend it to anyone looking for some easy fringe viewing this August hilarious bunch of people and a must see show.

Catch it from the 16th -27th August at the Kilderkin on the royal mile.

Rating: 5 out of 5.
