‘The Kaye Hole’ (Assembly Checkpoint) | Review By Lewis C. Baird

‘The Kaye Hole’ presented by Reuben Kaye is a variety extravaganza, playing Assembly Checkpoint Saturday 19th, Sunday 20th, Friday 26th, Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th August at 23:40.

Reuben Kaye hosts this show once again providing stellar entertainment for the audience through raucous and very cheeky comedy, making this late-night affair extra special. The sections in which he performs ties this variety show together beautifully with stunning and hilarious musical numbers, proving why any variety production is honoured to have him at the helm.

The acts featured were supremely talented and showcased the versatility of the Fringe. The first act was an acrobat/striptease who had audiences on edge with her risqué and exhilarating act. Next up was the Queens from ‘Queens with Balls’, they were superb, they utterly slayed each number, bringing the audience to their feet in awe. Jordan Gray performed a brilliant uplifting number entirely in the nude! Tina del Twist also featured (half pissed), with her superb rendition of ‘White Rabbit’. We had Shrek like we have never seen him before and also a brilliant act from ‘Blunderland’ who equally thrilled and terrified the audience with their adrenaline-filled performance.

‘The Kaye Hole’ is a must-see at this year’s Fringe. Reuben Kaye proves once again that he is one of the biggest and best acts in Edinburgh this August, adding some of the biggest and boldest acts of the Fringe into the mix makes it simply sublime. ‘The Kate Hole’ is undoubtedly a contender for the best show I’ve seen at this year’s Fringe.

Rating: 5 out of 5.
